What is the seasonal Mission listed on the "about our camps" page?
It's different every year!
Every summer camp season, West Central Camp sponsors one (or multiple) Christian mission organizations. This is called the seasonal mission program. In most cases, the seasonal mission sends a representative to stay at the camp, minister to the students, and share information about their work. Campers and their families are encouraged to make a donation to the seasonal mission. The money donated to the seasonal mission is collected on check-in day, and is separate from the camper's admission fee. 100% of this offering is given to the seasonal mission; West Central does not withhold any of the proceeds. West Central Christian Service Camp is a non-denominational church camp. We welcome students to our camp from all walks of life and all denominations! That's not to say that we don't have strong convictions about God and what it means to follow Him. You can learn more about that here. Our values are reflective of our roots in the Restoration Movement: Christ first over labels, with the Bible as our ultimate guide.
Practically speaking: that means we are not accountable to a denominational governing body of any kind. Our board of directors meets regularly to oversee camp programming and operations. Board members and camp deans are prayerfully selected from members of our supporting churches. What time is Check-In/out?
Check-in and check-out times are listed for each of our camps on this page. For most camps, check-in is at 3-4:00PM on the first day, and check-out is at 11-1:00PM on the last day.
Is your campus wheelchair accessible?
Our 13-acre campus is interconnected via gravel roads; it is not wheelchair accessible. Physically disabled guests will require transportation assistance.
